The one stop destination in Oslob, that has many stories to tell beyond its rich yesterdays, the Quartel Beach.
At first, Oslobanons trusted so much the foreign visitors ,that they don’t even discover the real motives of Spanish colonizers. Yes, they accept Christianity whole heartedly without thinking that this religious act might be abused by colonizers.
As what natives said, Quartel Beach was built for housing accommodation of Spaniards. As years pass by, colonizers abused the people. They forcibly demand and get what they want from people.
The Quartel Beach was the place where they punished and tortured Oslobanons. Females were used as comfort women and males were forcibly do labor. They do ruthless and cruel act of domination.
But bad deeds could not lead life eternity. One day, whole Oslobanons were gathered and corroborate in order for a huge plan.
They secretly attack Spaniards that night. People spurred fuel all over the place while colonizers are at rest. They put fire and let it burn including the cruel Spaniards.
At that moment, people were delighted, for they have now the freedom that they long to be. They eventually fight heartedly just to acquire the right of democracy.
